Baird Trail in Lanark county consists of three interconnected loops. All trails are dog and family friendly. The location is an easy (40 min) day trip from Ottawa to enjoy some time outdoors at a beautiful location that doesn't get very busy.

It's pretty mild to walk around and very neat area. Surrounded with amazing tall trees 🌳 😍 My boyfriend and I enjoyed it!

Just beautiful. Great hike with plenty of flora and fauna. Trails are very well marked so no getting lost. Great trail.

There is so much character and beauty in this diverse forest. We loved the educational plaques and learned plenty about the region, history and local flora. We topped off the morning with a pancake breakfast at Wheelers. What a lovely fall experience in the Highlands. Thanks trees!

Lovely place. There are three loop trails. The shortest is just over 1KM. You could make a much longer go of it by doing all the loops. Great interpretive signage. No washroom or outhouse.

We had the most amazing time here and can't wait to go back and take the kids and pets with us. So beautiful it makes your eyes hurt. Never want to leave when you are there.

Great hike that shows the diversity of forests in the area! We had a great time. Bring bug spray if you will be visiting during the early summer.

Very pleasant fairly easy walking area with 3 loop trails of various lengths I think 2 are rated easy and 1 moderate - owned by Lanark County. Would probably be a 60-75 mins or so of walking if you did the lot at a reasonable pace for an average person. Reasonably well known so probably gets busier at weekends but during the week when I've been it's pretty quiet. No restrooms but has a couple of picnic tables.
